Wilma L. Patton, 74, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Monday, May 31, 2021, at her residence in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Born Thursday, January 2, 1947 in Dyersburg, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late W. M. Barker and the late Mary Ebilee Hensley Barker. Mrs. Patton was the retired sales manager for the Dyersburg Fabrics Remnant House and member of Fort Hudson Baptist Church. Her greatest joy was being "Nana" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and "Aunt Lee" to her nieces and nephews and extended family.
A celebration of life service for Mrs. Patton will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Fort Hudson Baptist Church. Officiating this service will be Rev. Neal Chatham, Rev. Scott Sewell and Rev. Trevor Sewell. Visitation will be from 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Fort Hudson Baptist Church.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of fifty-five years, Jerry W. Patton of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one son, J. Paul Patton of Apex, North Carolina; one daughter, Sherry Layman (Jeff) of Jackson, Tennessee; one brother, Marshall Barker of Hornbeak, Tennessee; a sister, by choice, Shelia Parker of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one grand-daughter, Lauren Ashlee Gullett (Justin) of Medina, Tennessee and two great-grandsons, Eason Gullett and Eli Gullett.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, R. L. Barker and James Willis Barker, three sisters, Mary Helen Harris, Ruby Nell Earp and Shirley Sue Hatch.
Honoring Mrs. Patton as urn bearer will be Lynn Parker.
