Willie Mae Hayes, 91, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at West Tennessee Healthcare - Dyersburg Hospital.
Born Friday, September 20, 1929 in Dyersburg, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late William "Bill" McKinley Ramey and the late Lillian Davison Ramey. Mrs. Hayes was a home-maker and a member of Church Grove Baptist Church in Newbern, Tennessee.
Graveside services for Mrs. Hayes will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, April 2, 2021 at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Rev. Ronnie Turner. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 2, 2021 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
She leaves to cherish her memory, three sons, Ronnie Hayes of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Jimmy Canada (Tanna) of Newbern, Tennessee and Richard Canada of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one daughter, Pamela Glass (Monte Warne) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two sisters, Kathleen Hatch of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Lyda Gravitt of Chicago, Illinois; thirteen grandchildren, Kevin Canada (Christy), Angela Canada, John David Glass (Tina), Patty Glass, Josh Canada, Lucas Canada, Jessie Hayes, Conner Hayes, Gene Alan Hayes, Lee Canada, Ricky Glass (Tiffani), Brad Glass and Michelle Glass and fifteen great-grandchildren, Jacob Canada, Brett Canada, Gage Canada, Owen Glass, Eli Canada, Emily Glass, Anna Glass, Megan Deutschander, Trevor Glass, Will Glass, Luke Glass, Hudson Canada, Case Canada, Elijah Canada and Tiaye Anderson.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Newton Hayes; three brothers, Richard Ramey, J B Ramey and Billy Ramey and two sisters, Evelyn Hayes and Virginia Williams.
Honororing Mrs. Hayes as pallbearers will be her grandsons, John David Glass, Kevin Canada, Ricky Glass, Brad Glass, Lucas Canada and Josh Canada.
