William David Plunk, 70, of Halls, Tennessee died on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at his residence.
Born Saturday, June 4, 1955, in Dyer County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Jerry Clyce Plunk and the late Bobbie Canada Plunk.
He was known for his warm personality, quick wit, and gift of storytelling. David built a legacy rooted in hard work, dedication, and genuine care for others. He began his working career at Newbern Rubber where he met his wife, Debbie. He later went to Bekart and Goodyear before retiring from TCAT as an Industrial Maintenance Instructor. Teaching was not just a profession for David—it was a calling. He often said that he loved his job, his students, and his coworkers so deeply that he would have worked even if he had never been paid. His devotion to his students and pride in their accomplishments left a lasting impact on many lives.
Faith and fellowship were central to David’s life. He was a dedicated member of Grace Baptist Bible Church, where he enjoyed worship and service. He was also an active member of the Christian Motorcycle Association, where he found both brotherhood and purpose riding for Christ.
David will be remembered not only for his strong work ethic and faith but also for the laughter and joy he brought to those around him. His stories, told with warmth and humor, brightened countless days and will continue to live on in the hearts and memories of those who knew him.
