William Arthur Rushing, Sr., 62, of Friendship, Tennessee, better known as "Billy Clyde" to his family and friends, died on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.
Born Monday, April 1, 1963, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Marshall Bates "Buck" Rushing, Sr. and the late Frances Ann Holland Rushing.
Billy Clyde worked as both a mechanic and truck driver for Forcum Lannom during his career, where he was known for his strong work ethic. He also enjoyed farming, a pastime that brought him both joy and pride. He will be remembered as a down-to-earth man who valued family, friends, and the simple pleasures of life.
A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Rushing will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, August 25, 2025, at the Finley Baptist Church with Bro. Trevor Sewell officiating.
He is survived by sons, Will Rushing (Shelby) Of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Shannon Rushing (Samantha Hutching) of Ripley, Tennessee; step-daughter, Brandy Kissell (Shannon) of Ripley, Tennessee; one brother, Bucky Rushing (Gina) of Bon Aqua, Tennessee; five sisters, Judy Nash (Scotty) of Bonicord, Tennessee, Sherry Bane (Lanny) of Finley, Tennessee, Jackie Foutch of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Linda Lepping of Dickson, Tennessee and Regina O'Brien (Wayne) of Atoka, Tennessee; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
