Wendell Reed

Wendell  Reed, 73, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Sunday, August 7, 2022, at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Friday, July 15, 1949 in Dyersburg, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Alvin Reed and the late Lucille Sewell  Reed. Mr. Reed was a retired car salesman. He was a member of Three Oaks Chapel Baptist Church and an avid supporter of the Griefshare Program.

A brief celebration of life service for Mr. Reed will be held Friday, August 12, 2022, at Three Oaks Chapel Baptist Church in Dyersburg, Tennessee starting at 6:45 PM. Officiating this service will be Bro. Bill Phipps. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 6:45 at Three Oaks Chapel Baptist Church.

He leaves to cherish his memory; three daughters, Tammy Sollis (Mike) of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Letitia Goldsmith Ducat (the late Steve Goldsmith) of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Wendi Rigsby (Robert) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of forty-four years, Christine "Chris" Clements Reed and two brothers, Gerald Reed and Ricky Reed.
