Wayne Clayton Hulme, 82, of Newbern, Tennessee, died on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at his residence in Newbern, Tennessee.
Born Friday, August 15, 1941, in Dyer County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Howard Clayton Hulme and the late Ruth Cooley Hulme. Mr. Hulme was a retired superintendent from Stanley Jones Corporation and later retired from Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. He was a proud member of the Mechanized Cavalry and a member and former deacon at Parr Avenue Church of Christ.
Funeral services for Mr. Hulme will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 22, 2023, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Bro. Scott Owen and Patrick S. Williams. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Visitation will be held on Friday from 9:00 AM till 11:00 AM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of sixty-four years, Linda Carrell Hulme of Newbern, Tennessee: one son, Keith Hulme of Newbern, Tennessee: two daughters Dedra Sims of Middlefield, Ohio and LonNita McDonald of Springville, Tennessee; one brother, Michael Hulme of Newbern, Tennessee and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson Christopher McDonald and one his sister Carlyon McGavock.
Honoring Mr. Hulme as pallbearers will be brothers of the Mechanized Cavalry.
