Warren "Grandpa" Niehaus, 96, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at Tennova Healthcare-Dyersburg Regional Medical Center in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Born Thursday, September 29, 1921 in Mediapolis, Iowa, he was the son of the late Lawrence Niehaus and the late Lela G. Piper Niehaus. He was a retired employee of Sylvania, member of the Moose Lodge, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and Church Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Niehaus proudly served his country during World War II in the United States Army.
A celebration of life service for Mr. Niehaus will be held at 11:00 AM on Sunday, April 15, 2018 during the worship service of Church Grove Baptist Church located at 1060 West Main Street in Newbern, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Rev. Ronnie Turner.
He is survived by one daughter, Lora Alm of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one brother, Frank Niehaus of Burlington, Iowa; six grandchildren, Philip Lohner (Karen) of West Plains, Missouri, Curtis Merritt (Sue Ann) of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Mia Turner (Ronnie) of Tiptonville, Tennessee, Nicole Flowers of Michigan, Jamie Peery of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Matt Ketchum (Daphne) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; eighteen great-grandchildren and sixteen great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Rickman Niehaus; two daughters, Vickie Ketchum and Patricia Burns; one brother, Jerry Niehaus; one grandchild and three great-grandchildren.
