Walter Lemuel Jowers, 68, of Trimble, Tennessee died on Saturday, May 23, 2020, at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Born Tuesday, June 12, 1951 in Dyer County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late James Bradley Jowers and the late Emma Marie Lemons Jowers. He was a retired truck driver and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Army.
Private graveside services for Mr. Jowers will be held at Pierce Cemetery in Trimble, Tennessee. Officiating the service will be Wendell McManus.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife LaWanda McManus Jowers of Trimble, Tennessee; son, James Brett Jowers of Yadkinville, North Carolina; one step-son, Richie Brownlee of Trimble, Tennessee; a granddaughter, Laken Jowers Doomy, and great-grandson, Eric James Doomy. He also leaves several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles all of whom he loved very much.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Joe Lemons and two sisters, Carolyn Jowers and Kathy Jowers.
