Obituary
Virginia Jo Davis, 69, of Newbern, Tennessee, died on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City, Tennessee.
Born Sunday, March 29, 1953, in Memphis, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Joseph Grose and the late Virginia Katherine Barnette Grose. Mrs. Davis was a retired administrative assistant for the Tennessee Highway Patrol-Jackson Headquarters. Mrs. Davis was a devoted member of Christ Church Baptist Fellowship.
A celebration of life services for Mrs. Davis will be held at 5:00 PM on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Christ Church Baptist Fellowship located at 5775 Millsfield Highway, Dyersburg, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Bro. Jeremy Ballinger. Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Christ Church Baptist Fellowship.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of thirty-seven years, Terry Joe Davis of Newbern, Tennessee; one stepson, Joe Hall (Tracy) of Valparaiso, Indiana and one grandchild, Brooklynn Hall.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Jahala Ratley.
The family asks that memorial contributions be directed to Christ Church Baptist Fellowship, 5775 Millsfield Highway, Dyersburg, Tennessee 38024.
