Victoria Starr Cross Grappone, 45, passed away November 21st, 2022, in Seattle, WA.
She is survived by her husband, Jeff Grappone, father, Ted Cross, aunts and uncles, Sue
Williams (David), Vanessa Greenwell (Bob), Chastity Kinerd (Jason), Tracey Cross (Terry),
cousins, her soul-sisters, countless friends, and their two pups Baxter and Bettie. Starr was
preceded in death by her mother, Gail Pratt, brother Brandon Cross, grandparents Mary Cross,
Edward Cross, Francis Pilgrim, and Robert Pilgrim.
To know Starr is to know that she had the biggest heart. Her love had no limits, and she
gave the best, strongest hugs for such a tiny person. Starr hugs were the best. Her friends and
family have fond memories of cooking elaborate meals, her many art projects, and her love for
music. Music was often the common bond she shared with many who loved her. She was an
incredible listener and truly empathetic to every person she met. Starr cared so deeply for so
many people. Her quick sense of humor and laugh (head thrown back, mouth wide open) were
her trademark traits. To be loved by Starr meant that you most likely had a nickname for her, and
she had one for you as well. To be loved by her meant you had the most loyal friend you might
ever know. She touched so many, and her loss will ripple across the globe with great sadness.
There is comfort in knowing that she is dancing in the heavens to some Eric Clapton with her
mother and brother now.
