Vicki Gurley Watkins

Vicki Gurley Watkins, 68, of Jackson, Tennessee, formerly of Dyersburg, Tennessee, died on Friday, August 28, 2020,after a long illness at  the home of her niece, in Jackson, Tennessee.

Born Sunday, September 16, 1951, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Glen H. Gurley and the late Mary Margaret Young Gurley.  Vicki was a homemaker and Loved the Lord.  Her faith was in the Assembly of God and Non-Denominational.  She had a passion for horses, cats and especially her Pomeranians.  When she was younger, she loved playing the piano and organ, riding her horses and competing in various types of horse shows.

A celebration of life graveside service for Ms. Watkins will be 11:00 AM on Saturday, September, 5, 2020 at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Mr. Kelly Wishoun. Family and friends are asked to gather at the graveside.  Due to current national conditions and the family's concern for the health and well being of others, you are asked to follow the suggested guidelines for wearing of masks and social distancing.

She is survived by one daughter, Mary Hannah Watkins of Memphis, Tennessee; six nieces, Tammy Wishoun of Knoxville, Tennessee, Tina Stalion and Karen Kilzer both of Jackson, Tennessee, Helen Sweat of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Donna Nelson of Union City, Tennessee and Kelly Ratliff of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one nephew, Mike Gurley of Dyersburg, Tennessee; three cousins, Ann Maines of Bolivar, Tennessee, Connie Sue VanVickle and Shirley Maldonado both of Newbern, Tennessee and two special friends, Linda McFarland and Renee Davenport. both of Jackson, Tennessee.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Sandra F. Gurley Kilzer and one brother, R. Bruce Gurley.
