Van Burin Arnold

Van Burin Arnold, 78, of Hornbeak, Tennessee, died on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at his residence in Hornbeak, Tennessee.

Born Sunday, August 5, 1945, in Dyer County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Burin Lee Arnold and the late Gladys Mae Brinkley Arnold. Mr. Arnold was a former employee of the City of Newbern working for the water department as a meter reader. 

Graveside services for Mr. Arnold will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Church Grove Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Officiating the service will be Frank Nelson. Visitation for Mr. Arnold will be from 12:00 PM until 1:40 PM on Monday, November 20, 2023, at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

He leaves to treasure his memory, his loving wife of sixty-one years, May Dean Whitlow Arnold of Hornbeak, Tennessee; two sons, Michael Loren Arnold (Sherry Gail) of Yorkville, Tennessee and David Shannon Arnold of Hornbeak, Tennessee; two daughters, Lydia Yvette Williams of Newbern, Tennessee and Vanessa Deanne Henson (Jimmy) of Hornbeak, Tennessee; one brother, Joseph Daniel Arnold of Hornbeak, Tennessee; two sisters, Faye Arnold of Newbern, Tennessee and Gladys Kaye Green of Jackson, Tennessee and he was "Pap" to his seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.  

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Timothy Van Burin Arnold and an infant son: two brothers, Charles Arnold, and Bill Arnold and one sister, Peggy Sue Brooks.

Honoring Mr. Arnold as pallbearers will be Jimmy Henson, Travis Burpo, Michael McKee, Austin Parish, Hayden McKee and Frank Nelson.
