Tyler Joy

Tyler Joy, 30, of Dyersburg, Tennessee, died on Monday, May 22, 2023, at his residence.

Born Sunday, October 25, 1992, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, he was the son of Jeffery Lynn Joy and Jackie Lynn Armstrong Winchester. Tyler spent his time making his friends and family laugh. He enjoyed building and racing four wheelers with his dad. He was a generous and kind father, son, brother, friend and loved one. 

Funeral services for Mr. Joy will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 27, 2023, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Rev. Trevor Sewell. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Visitation for Mr. Joy will be from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home in Newbern, Tennessee.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his three children, Gracelynn, Kaycen, and Adalynn Joy; his parents Jeff Joy (Missy) of Dyersburg, Tennessee, and Jackie Winchester (Mark) of Newbern, Tennessee; one sister, Ashley Wilson; one brother Chase Joy; fiancé, Autumn Ketchum and five nephews.

He was preceded in death by two grandmothers, Sondra Smothers and Peggy Crider; two grandfathers, Jackie Armstrong, and Laron Crider; one aunt, Rana Pope and one brother, Jon Coffman.

Honoring Mr. Joy as pallbearers will be Ryan Knight, J.C. Holden, Trevor Jones, Eli Richardson, Dylan Griffin, James Bennett, Dustin Reed, and Brandon Rudd.
