Tommye Jean Barham Coffman, 75, of Newbern, Tennessee died on Thursday, February 28, 2019, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.
Born Thursday, July 8, 1943 in Dyersburg (Millsfield Community), Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late T. C. "Jap" Sipes and Imogene Garrison Sipes. She was a retired employee of All Wear and retired licensed practical nurse. Mrs. Coffman was a member of the Newbern First Baptist Church.
Funeral services for Mrs. Coffman will be 11:00 AM on Monday, March 4, 2019 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Rev. Danny Klutts. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Trenton, Tennessee. Visitation will be Sunday, March 3, 2019 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Coffman of Newbern, Tennessee; two daughters, Beverly Reed (Darrell) of Finley, Tennessee and Kim McIntire (Brad) of Naples, Italy; her mother, Imogene Sipes of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two brothers, Ben Sipes (Sherry) of Newbern, Tennessee and Mike Sipes of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two sisters, Pat Hinson of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Vanice Parker (Larry) of Springville, Tennessee.; three grandchildren, Stacy Watford (Jonathan), Bradley Purvis and Tommy McIntire; three great-grandchildren, JonThomas Watford, Austin Watford and Everly Purvis; best friend and chosen sister, Lee Freeman of Newbern, Tennessee; one step-daughter, Kathisue Summers (Jerry) of Medford, Oregon; one step-son, Ron Coffman (Michelle) of Newbern, Tennessee; three step-grandchildren, Drew Summers, Byron Coffman and Veronica Halliburton and six step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her husband of thirty years, Tommy Barham.
Pallbearers will be David Adcock, Andy Anderson, Barry Cottrell, Byron Coffman, Marty Gibson and Jody Weatherly. Honorary pallbearer will be Bill Adcock.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorial contributions be directed to the Youth Ministries of Newbern First Baptist Church, 114 West Main Street, Newbern, Tennessee 38059.
