Tommy Wayne Golladay

Tommy Wayne Golladay, 76, of Newbern, Tennessee, died on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at Signature Health in Ridgely, Tennessee.

He was born on March 31, 1950, in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Tommy was employed at Dyersburg Fabrics, where he served as Dye House Supervisor until the plant's closure. Known for his strong work ethic, leadership, and dedication, he earned the respect of his coworkers and formed many lasting friendships throughout his career. He later continued his employment with Ermco, where he worked until his retirement.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. His military service was a source of great pride throughout his life.

Away from work, Tommy found his greatest enjoyment in the outdoors. An avid deer hunter and fisherman, he spent countless hours in the woods and on the water. He especially treasured sharing those experiences with his daughters, taking them hunting and fishing from an early age. Many cherished family memories were made while fishing for crappie and brim, enjoying simple conversations and the beauty of nature. Those outings instilled a lifelong love of fishing in his daughters, and the memories of those special times together remain among their most treasured gifts from their father.

Graveside services for Mr. Golladay will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Officiating this service will be Rev. James Combs. Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery.

He is survived by two daughters, Dana Wilson (Blaine Pinegar) of Newbern, Tennessee and Leann Golladay of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one sister Judy Golladay of Dyersburg, Tennessee and three grandchildren, Lindley Lents (Jeremy), Logan Behrens and Sara Lewellyng and one great-grandson, Tritt Lents.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nina Jo Golladay; his mother, Frances Morris and one sister, Carol Wilson.
