Tommy Harrington, 68, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Friday, May 15, 2020, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.
Born Friday, May 9, 1952 in Fulton, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Charles Edward Harrington and Margaret Jones Harrington. He was a retired foreman for Forcum Lannom Materials and enjoyed spending time on the farm.
Funeral services for Mr. Harrington will be 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Dr. Mike Deal and Rev. Mike Hickman. Interment will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 6:30 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of forty-nine years, Suzanne Daves Harrington of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one son, Jonathan Harrington (Candace) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one daughter, Rebecca Harrington (Eric Henderson) of South Fulton, Tennessee; his mother, Margaret Jones Harrington of Union City, Tennessee; two sisters, Grace Butler (Charlie) of Jackson, Tennessee and Carol Ann Mayo (Billy) of Union City, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Cade Harrington (Abbiegail) of Newbern, Tennessee and Caroline Harrington of Dyersburg, Tennessee and his faithful companion, his dog, Que.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Edward Harrington; two daughters, Ami Harrington and Katie Harrington; one brother, Johnny Harrington; one sister, Karen Harrington and his lifelong friend, Lyman Ingram.
Honoring Mr. Harrington as pallbearers will be Parker Cashdollar, Steve Sedberry, Hunter Butler, Blake Butler, Keith Ellington and Dennis Davin. Honorary pallbearers will be Maurice "Mo" Sims, Johnny Day and Jack Hatcher.
The family asks that memorial contributions be directed to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 5865 Ridgeway Center Parkway # 300, Memphis, Tennessee 38120.
