Thomas Devan Day

Thomas Devan Day,75, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Monday, May 16, 2022, at his residence.

Born Friday, April 11, 1947, in Decaturville, Tennessee, he was the son of the late John Thomas "J.T." Day and the late Emily Paul Moore Day Kelly. Mr. Day delivered ice cream in Northwest Tennessee for Turner Dairy for over thirty years. He was a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association. Mr. Day loved fishing, camping, and picking his guitar.

Funeral services for Mr. Day will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, in the of Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home Officiating this service will be Rev. Earl Wayne Day. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 18, 2022, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 P.M. at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

He leaves to cherish his memory, one son, Kenny Day (Georgia) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two  daughters, Darla Day of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Karla Noel of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two brothers, Earl Wayne Day of Selmer, Tennessee and Johnny Day of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two sisters, Emily Ann Metcalf of Covington, Tennessee and Rose Mary Pratt of Parsons, Tennessee and he was "PePaw" to his five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He loved spending time with his special friends, William and Sondra Simmons, Shirley Martin and the late Jimmy Martin, Sr.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-six years, Glenda Faye Owsley Day and one brother, Ricky Dale Day.

The family ask that memorial contributions be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105-9959.
