Obituary
Thomas Jefferson Williams, 76, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Sunday, March 12, 2023, at his residence in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Born Thursday, November 28, 1946, in Gold Dust Bottoms, Tennessee, he was the son of the late George Washington Williams and the late Irene Elizabeth Simpson Williams. Mr. Williams was a retired timber cutter and logger.
Graveside services for Mr. Williams will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at Williams-Holland Cemetery, located at 1138 Simpson Road in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Bro. Bobby Jacobs. Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery.
He leaves to cherish his memory, two sons, Samuel Jefferson Williams of Halls, Tennessee and James Thomas Williams of Pulaski, Tennessee; two daughters, Mary Ruth Williams of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Teresa Darlene Sweatt of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two brothers, Terry Wade Williams of Double Bridges in Halls, Tennessee and Johnny Walker Parker Williams of Double Bridges in Halls, Tennessee; three sisters, Linda Jo Buckner of Lauderdale County, Tennessee, Sandra Kay Craft of Madison County , Tennessee and Joan Dale Moody of Madison County, Tennessee; ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved companion of twenty-four years, Shirley Holland; four brothers, Alvin Williams, Donald Jr. Williams, Doyle Bruce Williams and Jeffery Walker Parker Williams and three sisters, Betty Faye Hargett, Nancy Lumley and Patricia Phillips.
Honoring Mr. Williams as pallbearers will be Lee Hensley, James Thomas Williams, Sammy Williams, Samuel Williams, Brad Evans, Bobby Murray, Matthew Carver, and Gary Valentine. The honorary pallbearer will be Windell Sweatt.
