Theresa Marie "Tootsie" Watkins

Theresa Marie Watkins, affectionately known as "Tootsie" or "Toots" gained her wings on November 3, 2024, at her residence.  

Born Tuesday, August 16, 1960, in Lake County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Ross B. Rivers and the late Keleta Katrinka Turner Sanford.  She will be remembered for her big heart and being a loving spoiled wife for twenty-two years.   She was also an awesome mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

A Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Watkins will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at Cottonwood Baptist Church in Ridgely, Tennessee.  Officiating the service will be Bro. Ronnie Turner.

Tootsie is survived by her husband,  of twenty-two years, Tim Watkins; her guardian angel, daughter, Kimberly Dawn Hardy Upson; a great son, Perry Michael Kuykendoll II (Destiney); two bonus sweet daughters, April Stoneburner (Jerry Thomes) and Katelyn Morris (Ernest); loving granddaughters, Isabella Stoneburner, Harley Stoneburner, Scarlett Morris, and Joslynn Newman; two handsome grandsons, Jamyson Newman and Jensyn Kuykendoll; a niece, who was like a daughter, Casey Yarbro a nephew that stood beside her all the way, Josh Rivers; a niece that took care of her with love, Lisa Rivers; one sister, Nina Baltezor (Duke); four brothers, William Rivers (Leeann), Jeff Rivers (Crystal), Stacy Rivers (Regina)and Matthew Rivers (Stephanie); brother-in-law, Clifford Watkins (Huddy); three aunts, Jan Platt (Richard), Theresa Butler and Susy Dozier; mother-in law and father-in-law,  Peggy and William Watkins, awesome friends, Mitzi McNabb, Denise Locks and Lisa Boswell; honorary Jayden Tatum, Conner Bell, Cooper Rivers, and Lucas Baltezor; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and extended family members and friends that she loved dearly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, stepfather, brother Ross "Bubba" Rivers and many more family members.
