Steven Royce McDearmon

Steven Royce McDearmon, 60, of Newbern, Tennessee died on Sunday, March 8, 2020, at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Saturday, July 18, 1959 in Oak Park, Illinois, he was the son of William Royce McDearmon and the late Joy Ann Gilham McDearmon. Mr. McDearmon was a former employee of Hexpol Compounding. He was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing, music and was a fan of the Chicago Cubs.

Mass for Mr. McDearmon will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at the Holy Angels Catholic Church in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Father Patrick Hirtz. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 10, 2020 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his father, William Royce McDearmon of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one brother, Greg McDearmon (Scott) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; three sisters, Susan Seat of Paris, Tennessee, Kathy Morgan (Randy) of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Ellen Akin (Tim) of Newbern, Tennessee; four nieces; five nephews and eighteen great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Joy Ann Gilham McDearmon and a brother-in-law, Jerry Seat.

Honoring Mr. McDearmon as pallbearers will be Randy Morgan, Brian Morgan, Ben Morgan, Tim Akin, David Blurton, Mark McDaniel, Adam Seat and John Andrew Hensley. Honorary pallbearers will be Lieutenant Brad Morgan (United State Navy-on deployment) and Paul Seat of Parker, Colorado.

The family ask that in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be directed to St.Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105-9959.
