Stacy Lynn Watford Obituary

Stacy Lynn Watford, 40, of Newbern, Tennessee died on Friday, November 27, 2020, at Regional One Medical in Memphis, Tennessee.

Stacy was born Friday, June 20, 1980.  She was a 1998 graduate of Dyer County High School where she was active in the band and FFA.  She married her high school sweetheart, Jonathan Watford, in 2000.

Stacy was a medical instructor at Dyersburg State Community College and a student at Bethel College in McKenzie, Tennessee. Stacy's main love in life was her family.  She was a devoted wife and loved her two sons, JT and Austin, beyond measure.

Stacy leaves behind a church family at Glendale Church of Christ, West Dyersburg Church of Christ and the Exchange Street Church of Christ.  She also leaves behind many friends and family.

Graveside services for Stacy and her husband, Jonathan, will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Walnut Grove Cemetery near Trenton, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Bro. Serge Shoemaker and Bro. Dan Huggins. Friends are asked to gather at the cemetery.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, JonThomas Watford and Austin Watford both of Newbern, Tennessee; her mother and step-father, Beverly and Darrell Reed of Dyersburg, Tennessee; her father, Paul Purvis of Newbern, Tennessee; one brother, Bradley Purvis of Dyersburg, Tennessee; her grandfather, Bill Coffman of Newbern, Tennessee; great-grandmother, Imogene Sipes of Dyersburg, Tennessee; her parents-in-law, Dana and Vickie Watford of Newbern, Tennessee; her aunt, Kim McIntire (Brad) of Italy; one brother-in-law, Joshua Watford (Katie) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one sister-in-law, Rebekah Buchanan (Ryan) of Newbern, Tennessee; three nieces, Everly Purvis, Brynlee Watford and Nora Buchanan; five nephews, Tommy McIntire, Tate Watford, Reed Watford, Sean Buchanan and Connor Buchanan; and a daughter by choice, Kennedy Arnold and her daughters.

She was preceded in death by her husband, of twenty years, Jonathan Odell Watford, and her grandparents, Tommy Barham, Tommye Jean Coffman and Paul and Marie Purvis.

Honoring Stacy and Jonathan as pallbearers will be Tommy McIntyre, T. J. VanDyke, Joshua Watford, Johnnie Finley, Barry Cottrell and Matthew Reed.

In lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be directed to the Stacy Watford and Children Fund, % First Community Bank of the Heartland, 602 U S Highway 51 Bypass West, Dyersburg, Tennessee 38024.
