Sophia Ann Bingham

Sophia Ann Bingham, 92, of Newbern, Tennessee died on Sunday, June 7, 2020, at Harborview Nursing Home in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Thursday, October 27, 1927 in Dyersburg, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Edward Ralph McDearmon and Gladys McDearmon. She retired from Motorola of Schaumburg, Illinois and was a member and elder of Newbern Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bingham will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 11, 2020 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Pastor Byron Forester. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

She is survived by one son, Bing Bingham and his wife, Dolores of Newbern, Tennessee; one daughter, Elizabeth Diane Brouillette of Newbern, Tennessee; one brother, William McDearmon of Dyersburg, Tennessee; eight grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Dorsey Leon Bingham; one son, David Lloyd Bingham; two brothers, Johnny McDearmon and Arthur E. McDearmon and one sister, Mary Cantrell.

Honoring Mrs. Bingham as pallbearers will be Tim Akin, Paul Brouillette, John Edward Hensley, Greg McDearmon, Scott Ward, and Chris Nelson.
