Shirlene Parker, 64 of Bogota, Tennessee died on Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at her residence in Bogota, Tennessee.
Born Wednesday, December 30, 1953 in Dyersburg, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Orbie Blackley and the late Mamie Helen Palmer Blackley. Following in the profession of her parents, she was an employee of the United States Postal service, a position that was held in her family for sixty plus years. Mrs. Parker was a member of the Bogota Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School Teacher .
Graveside services for Mrs. Parker will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, November 26, 2018 at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Rev. James Branscum. Visitation for Mrs. Parker will be Monday from 1:30 PM until 2:30 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
She is survived by her husband, Terry J. Parker of Bogota, Tennessee; two daughters, Amy Fuller (Brad) of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Tarah Spears (Everett) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; four sisters, Glenda Taylor of Nashville, Tennessee, Faye Greene of Lexington, North Carolina, Pat Carroll of Alhamra, Illinois and June Butler of Martin, Tennessee and three grandchildren, Evie Fuller, Parker Spears and Chloe Spears.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Blackley and Terry Blackley.
Pallbearers will be Everett Spears, Brad Fuller, Steven Butler, Ronnie Robinson, Buddy Cavness and Roger Clark.
