Shelby Chunn

Shelby Chunn, 59, of Newbern, Tennessee died on Thursday, February 28, 2019, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson,Tennessee.

Born Wednesday, September 30, 1959, in Ridgely, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late Wilburn Tubbs and the late Ruth Murray Tubbs.

She was a guard at Tyson Foods and was a member of Faithway Baptist Church in Troy, Tennessee.

Funeral services will be 2:30 PM, Saturday, March 2, 2019, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Bro. Perry Grills. Interment will follow in Sorrell's Chapel in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Visitation will be Saturday, March 2, 2019, from 1:30 PM until 2:30 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

She is survived by her husband, David Chunn of Iowa; one daughter, Melinda Burkeen of Milan, Tennessee; one grandson, Justin Burkeen; five sisters, Maxine Crane (Eddie) of Trimble, Tennessee, Bonnie Epperson (David) of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Gail Curtis (Bill) of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Mary Hein (Dennis) of Moore, Oklahoma and Patricia Grills (Perry) of Newbern, Tennessee; two brothers, Neal Tubbs of Bogota, Tennessee and Danny Tubbs of Dyersburg, Tennessee.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Billy Joe Burkeen.

Pallbearers will be Hunter Ramsey, Jason Maupin, Andy Grills, Mark Brown II, Ray Johnson and Mark Baker. Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Burkeen, Nolan Grills and Henry Hinkle.
