Sharon "Shay" Bell

Sharon "Shay" Bell, 69 of Newbern, Tennessee died on Wednesday, October 28, 2020, at her residence in Newbern, Tennessee.

Born Thursday, November 16, 1950 in Dyer, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late J. B. Simmons and the late Peggy Haire  Simmons. She retired as operations manager for First Tennessee Bank after twenty years of service.  Mrs. Bell was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church and the Newbern Saddle Club.  She had a passion for dogs and horses, especially her horse, Bo.

Private family services for Mrs. Bell will be held at a later date.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of fifty-one years, James E. Bell of Newbern, Tennessee; her daughter, Mimi Cherry (Greg) of Newbern, Tennessee; one sister, Pam Simmons Hassell of Jackson, Tennessee; one nephew, Justin Hassell (Selanie) of Jackson, Tennessee; two great-nephews, Liam Hassell and Cade Hassell and two great-nieces, Mila Hassell and Kira Hassell.
