Sgt. Larry House, USA (Retired)

Sgt. Larry House, USA (Retired), 69, of Dyersburg, Tennessee, died on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-East in Memphis, Tennessee.

Born Sunday, July 17, 1949 in Dyersburg, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Nathan House and the late Frances Mosley House. He retired from the United States Army with the rank of Sergeant in 1972 and then pursued his career in retail parts management retiring from NAPA in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Mr. House was a life long member and deacon of Mt. Tirzah Baptist Church and held a life-time membership with the DAV.

Graveside services for Mr. House will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Rev. Bill Taylor. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 14, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Ferguson House of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two daughters, Larenda House Fultz (Sydney) of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Wesley House Garrett (Jim) of Columbus, Mississippi; one brother, Guy House (Velva) of Newbern, Tennessee; two sisters, Kay Sawyer of Newbern, Tennessee and Lea Glass (Steve) of Decaturville, Tennessee and four grandchildren, Shelby Fultz Bonasera (Joseph), Nathan Garrett, Suzanne Fultz and Macy Garrett.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter, Leigh Anne House.

Pallbearers will be R. B. Hodges, Daniel Hodges, Scott House, Van Simpson, Tom Wilkerson and Steve Dodds.
