Sandra Diane Baker, 70, of Dyersburg, Tennessee, died on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at her residence in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Born Saturday, October 2, 1954, in Monticello, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late James Walter Leonard, Sr. and the late Inez Melba Gunn Sweet. Sandra was a dedicated employee of Komatsu for many years, where she formed many lifelong friendships.
She was a woman of remarkable creativity, finding beauty in the ordinary and turning it into art. She has a passion for painting, bringing scenes to life on sawblades and other canvases. Her artistic touch brightened the lives of those around her and anyone who was lucky enough to receive a piece of art felt truly blessed.
Sandra was devoted to her family. She cherished every moment spent with them, filling their lives with warmth, wisdom and unconditional love. Her kindness and gentle spirit will be missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who loved her.
A Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Baker will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 15, 2025, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Mr. Jim Cook and Mr. Patrick Williams. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM on Saturday at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Johnny Wayne Baker of Dyersburg, Tennessee; four daughters, Corie Heskett Corey) of Obion, Tennessee, Emily McDougle (Joseph) of Halls, Tennessee; Brandy McCollum (Jon David) of Newbern, Tennessee and Danielle Reynolds (David) of Smithville, Tennessee; one brother, John David Leonard (Linda) of Millington, Tennessee; one sister, Cynthia Annette Holley of Cordova, Tennessee; sister-in-law, Jackie Leonard of Memphis, Tennessee and she was "Granny" to her eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, James Walter Leonard, Jr.
