Sammie Lynn Wilson Obituary

Sammie Lynn Wilson, 75 of Newbern, Tennessee died on Sunday, November 14, 2021, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.

Born Tuesday, June 18, 1946 in Newbern, Tennessee he was the son the the late Sam Wilson and the late Virginia Turner Wilson.  Mr. Wilson was a fromer employee of Sylvania and Reelfoot Packing Company. He also was a private investigator and retired from Hot Shot Express as a truck driver. He was a member of the Shade Tree Tractor Club and was a former member of the Dyer County 4-H program, where he was instrumental in starting the hog program with his donation of the first registered gilt to the program.

Graveside service for Mr. Wilson will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 17, 2021  at  Zion Cemetery in Cloverdale,  Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Mr. Perry Grills. All family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery.

He leaves to cherish his memory, one daughter Pennie Gean (Ryan) of Newbern, Tennessee and he was "DadaSammie" to his two grandchildren Theron Gean of Nashville, Tennessee and Macey Gean of Newbern, Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Virginia Wilson.
