Obituary
Ruth Nell Coner, 78, of Dyersburg, Tennessee, died on Friday, August 25, 2023, at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Born Sunday, March 11, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Ace Coner and the late Mary Elizabeth Mathis Coner. Ms. Coner was a home-maker. She was presently a resident of AHC of Dyersburg.
Cremation services for Mrs. Coner are under the direction of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. A private family ceremony will be held at a later date and will be announced when arrangements are finalized.
She is survived by two sons, Billy Joe Smith of Dyersburg, Tennessee and David Lynn Smith of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two daughters, Patricia Criswell (James) of Newbern, Tennessee and Melinda Sue Smith of Mississippi; five grandchildren and twelve great- grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Royce Freeman, Homer Freeman, Billy Nell Freeman and Junior Freeman.
