Ruth Ann Gourley

Ruth Ann Gourley, 74, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Thursday, March 12, 2020, at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Tuesday, March 5, 1946 in Moorehouse, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Earl Rose and the late Boneva Rogers Powell.

She was a retired employee of HECO, State Gazette, Colonial Rubber and Carmack Movie Theatre.

Funeral services for Mrs. Gourley will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, March 16, 2020 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Rev. Loren Stephens. Interment will follow in Sorrell's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

She is survived by her husband, Aldeon Gourley of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one son, Joseph Gourley, Sr. of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two brothers, Timmy Rose and Ricky Rose both of Dyersburg, Tennessee; three sisters, Nancy Wheeler of Texas , Pam Stacks, Doris Hinson and Bonnie Hinson all of Dyersburg, Tennessee; nineteen grandchildren; fifty- two great-grand children and three great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sons, Roger Gourley and Terry Gourley; two daughters, Carol Robertson and Connie McIntosh; four brothers, Levitus Rose, Ronald Rose, Devordry Rose and Danny Rose and one sister, Vernell Hinson.

Honoring Mrs. Gourley as pallbearers will be William Gourley, Christopher Gourley, Roger "R.J." Gourley, Charles Franklin, Stoy Anderson and Matt Stacks. Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Neal, Thomas Gourley and Adam Shelton.
