Roy Neal Stone

Roy Neal Stone, 68, of Dyer, Tennessee died on Friday, November 26, 2021, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.

Born Monday, February 16, 1953 in Dyersburg, Tennessee, he was the son of the late William "Billy" Stone and the late Ida Bates Stone. He was a master mechanic, former employee of Holloway Construction for twenty-nine years and currently was employed by  Advanced Technology Services at Eaton Corporation in Newbern, Tennessee. He attended the Dyer First Assembly of God Church.

Funeral services for Mr. Stone will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday November 30, 2021 at the Dyer Assembly of God Church. Officiating this service will be Pastor Mark Kirkpatrick. Interment will follow in Pierce Cemetery in Trimble, Tennessee. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 29, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home and on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the Dyer Assembly of God Church. 

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, of  forty-nine years, Peggy White Stone of Dyer, Tennessee; two sons, Greg Stone (Jennifer) of Dyer, Tennessee and Eric Stone (Stefanie) of Dyer, Tennessee; one brother, Shannon Stone (Sandra) of Sharon, Tennessee and he was "Pops" to his four grandchildren, Eli Stone, Ava Stone, Lillian Stone and Duke Stone.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Daniel Stone and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, C. T. and Orpha White.

Honoring Mr. Stone as pallbearers will be Lee Riley, Kevin Allen, Brad White, Dwight White, Randy Morris and Dwayne Harris. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Jones, Joe Coats, Jimmy Serman and Neal Wall.
