Roy B. Shirley, Jr.

Roy B. Shirley, Jr., 53, of Hornbeak, Tennessee died on Friday, September 10, 2021, at Baptist Hospital in Union City, Tennessee.

Born Monday, January 1, 1968 in Springfield, Missouri, he was the son of Roy B. Shirley, Sr. and Joy Ann Ray Shirley. Mr. Shirley was a truck driver with Patriotic Transportation where he was an owner/operator for PNS Transportation. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy.

Funeral services for Mr. Shirley will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Bro. Paul Ray Cagle and Bro. Mike Autry.  Interment will follow in Terrace Hill Cemetery in Troy, Tennessee. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

He leaves to cherish his memory, two sons, Brad Shirley (Rebekah) of Des Moines, Iowa and Christopher Shirley (Candy) of Springfield, Missouri; his parents, Roy B. and Joy Ann Ray Shirley of Hornbeak, Tennessee; his companion, Brandy Jackson of Hornbeak, Tennessee; two sisters,Jessica Fowler (Carl) of Hornbeak, Tennessee and Laura Bryson (Jimmy) of Kingsland, Georgia and four grandchildren.

Honoring Mr. Shirley as pallbearers will be Joe Paschall, Tyler Patrick, Steven Unangst, Timothy Richards, Kevin Gilliland and Robbie Shirley. Honorary pallbearer will be C. J. Fowler.
