Rose Marie Corcoran Obituary

Rose Marie Corcoran, 74 of Dyersburg, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, November 16,
2021.

Born Saturday, July 12, 1947 in Wiesbaden, Germany, she was the daughter of the late John
and Stella Koch.  Ms. Corcoran was employed in the Dyer County Clerk's Office for seventeen
years before her current employment with Full Throttle of Trimble, Tennessee for the past twelve
years, where she genuinely welcomed customers who became friends. Ms. Rose never met a
stranger, and in the small town of Dyersburg, she was well-known for her heart of gold and
generosity. She will always be remembered for the love and kindness that she showed to
everyone, as after you met Rose, she took you under her angel wings. When not working, she
enjoyed spending time with her dear friends, the “Golden Girls”. They enjoyed many meals with
deep conversation either at local restaurants or at each other’s homes. She was a dedicated
member of Oak Grove Church of Christ, and a faithful servant and lover of God. She shared
her faith proudly with those in her life.
The times she most treasured were those spent with her family. Rose drove many miles over
the years to return to Missouri to be with her children and grandchildren. She was dedicated to
never missing an event, and was looking forward to retiring in the city where she raised her
family. The world will never be the same without her smile and laughter.

A celebration of life service for Ms. Corcoran will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 20,
2021 at  the Newbern First Baptist Church. Officiating this service will be Bro. Tom Butler.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the Newbern First Baptist Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Teresa Carico (Robert), Lisa Corcoran Propst (Darren), and
Kelly Corcoran Thompson (Kyle) all of Jefferson City.  She was "Tennessee Grandma" to her
seven grandchildren, Daniel Manley, Amber Austin (David), Erica Manley, Alec Propst, Ayden
Propst, Kelyssa Thompson and Kyla Thompson and two great-grandchildren, Peyton Austin and
Hunter Austin.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her children, Edward
Corcoran, her companion for thirty-years, Milton Goodman and her step-mother, Evelyn Koch.

The family asks that memorial contributions be directed to the Dyer County Salvation Army, P.O. Box 1015, Dyersburg, Tennessee 38024 or the American Heart Association. 7272
