Ronnie Sims, 70, of Newbern, Tennessee died on Sunday, September 12, 2021, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.
Born Thursday, June 14, 1951 in Hickman , Kentucky, he was the son of the late Billie Joe Sims and the late Mary Ruth Jackson Sims. Mr. Sims was the retired owner of Auto-Max. He was avid fan of the Chicago Cubs.
Funeral services for Mr. Sims will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 5:30 P.M. in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Bro. Jim Keeling. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 15, 2021 from 3:30 P.M. to 5:30 P.M. at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 48 years Cathy McGowan Sims of Newbern, Tennessee; two sons, Patrick Sims (Jenn) of Westville, Indiana and Billie Sims (Kim) of Newbern, Tennessee; two daughters, Tracy Malamatos of Newbern, Tennessee and Jennifer Rose (Josh) of Millsfield, Tennessee: four brothers, Terry Sims of Newbern, Tennessee, Danny Sims of Sullivan, Indiana, Ricky Sims (JoAnne) of Friendship, Tennessee and Brian Pate (Ewa) of Knoxville, Tennessee: seven sisters, Mary Jane Pugh (John) of Portage, Indiana, Joyce Carter (Chris) of Churchton, Tennessee, Daphane Pate (Kenny Pettie) of Yorkville, Tennessee, Kathy Cerney (Bruce) of Ocala, Florida, Gail Crespo of Arizona, Teresa Habhab (Tony) of Kentucky and Phyllis Cox (Dennis) of Portage, Indiana; seventeen grand children and seven great- grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Sims and Bruce Carol and one sister, Kathy Sims.
