Ronnie DeLosh Obituary

Ronnie Loran DeLosh, 74, of Dyersburg, Tennessee, passed through the gates of Heaven riding his Bad Boy zero turn mower on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at his residence in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born  May 7, 1949,  in Potsdam, New York, he was the son of the late Roy and Lorean  DeLosh. Ronnie was a 1969, graduate of Hillcrest High School in Memphis, Tennessee.  According to the stories, he walked nine miles to school regardless of the weather.  Entering the work force at a young age, he started work at Mahon Grocery in Memphis, Tennessee.  He relocated to Dyersburg, Tennessee, where he proudly served his country in the Army National Guard.  He worked for Turner Dairy for more than fifteen years. He retired from Fort Pillow State Prison in the early 90's.

Those who knew Ronnie will remember his work ethic, joking attitude, big heart, his love for a good deal, his fondness for Polka Music, his strong religious belief in the Almighty and finally sitting on his porch, enjoying a cup of coffee, listening to partyline with his wife of fifty years.  They are the perfect blend, brewing since 1973.

He leaves to cherish his humorous attitude, his personal chef, Carliss Riggs DeLosh of Dyersburg, Tennessee; his mini me, partner in crime son,  Adam DeLosh (Christi) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; his best daughter, (his words) Caressa Hakenson (Richard) of New Bern, North Carolina, his favorite daughter (his words)Tabatha Powell (Brad) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two brothers, Royce DeLosh of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Ricky DeLosh of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two sisters, Linda Anderson of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Debra Burns. and a host of extended family members who he loved dearly.

Ronnie also known as "Pappy" leaves behind eight grandchildren, John Robert, Emily, Olivia, Hannah, Ian, Annalise, Kinslee and Levi along with four great grandchildren, Jameson, Jacob, Gavin and Noah.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, John Michael DeLosh, his aunt, Janette Klutts, who played a vital role in his upbringing.

A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. DeLosh will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Bethel Baptist Church located at 12 Baseline Road, Yorkville, Tennessee.
