Ronald Riggs

Ronald Grover Riggs, 73, died on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Oakwood Community Living Center in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Monday, August 4, 1952, he was the son of the late Grover Eldred Riggs and the late Harriet Joyce Ralph Riggs.
 

He was born in Tacoma, Washington, and grew up in Southern California. Throughout his life, he lived in several areas along the West Coast before eventually settling in Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, as well as his beloved dog, Teeter, who held a special place in his heart.

He had a love for Harley-Davidson motorcycles and the trucking industry, passions he carried with him throughout his life. He faced many challenges, both physical and personal, yet in his own way, he cared deeply for his family.

May he rest in peace.

Cremation services for Mr. Riggs are under the direction of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

He is survived by one daughter, Marlys Schrandt of Bend, Oregon, children by choice, Tanya Hull and Robert Wilson; three sisters, Joyce Riggs of Denver, Colorado, Teresa Craig of Lebanon, Oregon and Wendy Dutenhoeffer of Federal Way, Washington.
