Robert D. "Bubba" Wells

Robert D. "Bubba" Wells, 59, of Dyersburg, Tennessee, died on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Thursday, November 14, 1963 in Dyer County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Paul J. Wells and the late Doris Vonell Leake Riggs. Mr. Wells was a retired employee of Colonial Rubber.

Funeral services for Mr. Wells will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 26, 2023 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Pastor Jeff Hall. Interment will follow in Dyer County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Thursday at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

He is survived by two sons, Jonathan Anderson of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Brandon Newhouse (Delta) of Newbern, Tennessee; one daughter, Heather Wells of Knoxville, Tennessee; two sisters, Karen Lee Curtis of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Niki Wells of Dyersburg, Tennessee and seven grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Magen Wells and one sister, Paulette Davis.

Honoring Mr. Wells as pallbearers will be Marty Holland, Mike Parker, Stan Watson, Tommy Criswell, Craig Sipes and Legend Sipes. Honorary pallbearer will be Steve Barker.
