Robert "Bobby" Overbey

Robert "Bobby" Overbey, 77, of Dyersburg, Tennessee, died on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at his residence in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Saturday, February 1, 1947, in Jackson, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Edward "Pete" Overbey and the late Betty Sue Flippin Overbey.  Mr. Overbey was a retired employee of Clifco Construction, where he was a heavy equipment operator.

Graveside services for Mr. Overbey will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, Tennessee.  Officiating the service will be Rev. Paul Greer.  Family and friends are asked together at the cemetery.

He is survived by three daughters, Cindy Riggs (Tony) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; Vicky Rogers of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Lisa Fowler (Mike) of Friendship, Tennessee; one son, Greg Owsley (Sondra) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one brother, Johnny Overbey of Jackson, Tennessee; one sister, Brenda Overbey of Henderson, Tennessee; one sister-n-law, Mary Overbey and eight grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years of marriage Norma Overbey; one brother James "Jimmy" Overbey, and one-son-in-law Scotty Rogers.

Serving as pallbearers are Ken Owsley, Brock Barr, Bobby Hall, Mike Fowler, Paul Greer, Jake Greer, and Richard Delcourt.
