Ricky Garrison, 69, of Newbern, Tennessee died on Monday, April 1, 2024, at his residence in Newbern, Tennessee.
Born Friday, January 21, 1955, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, he was the son of the late J.B. Garrison and the late Gwennie Mabry Garrison. Mr. Garrison was a former mechanical engineer at HECO Manufacturing. He was a member of Church Grove Baptist Church in Newbern, Tennessee.
Funeral services for Mr. Garrison will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 6, 2024, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Rev. Donnie Crone and Rev. Ronnie Turner. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
He leaves to treasure his memory, one son, Daniel Garrison (Leaha) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one daughter, Amy Jackson (Doug) of Forrest City, Arkansas; five sisters, Linda Harris of Newbern, Tennessee, Donna Seratt of Newbern, Tennessee, Dorothy Bivens (Freddie) of Friendship, Tennessee, Melissa Bargery (Glen) of Ridgely, Tennessee and Betty Prater (Lee) of Miami, Florida and he was "PePaw", "GGPAW" and "Grandpa" to his three grandchildren, Briley Garrison, Hali Allmon, and Blake Allmon and one great grandchild, Leland McCann.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death, by his loving wife, Cherry Allen Garrison; one brother, Marvin Garrison, and one sister, Hazel Gamble.
Honoring Mr. Garrison as pallbearers will be Blake Allmon, Daniel Garrison, Dustin Seratt, Jeff Gamble, Scott Bargery, Steve Bargery, Steve Bivens, and Hunter McCann.
