Richard Earl Weatherly, Sr.

Richard Earl Weatherly, Sr., 77 died on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

He was born on April 25, 1948, in Dyersburg, Tennessee to the late Elbert Earl Weatherly and the late Martha Jean Duncan Weatherly.

Richard was a graduate of Newbern High School and was a retired employee of Jimmy Dean Foods. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Graveside services for Mr. Weatherly will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery.

He is survived by two sons, Richard Earl "Richie" Weatherly, II, of Newbern, Tennessee and William Douglas "Doug" Weatherly of Newbern, Tennessee; one daughter, Lora Laine Fulbright (James) of Troy, Tennessee; one brother, Ronnie Weatherly (Beverlee) of Newbern, Tennessee; one sister, Janice Pledge (Mark) of Newbern, Tennessee, brother-in-law, Dave Carhart of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition, to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Mike Weatherly and one sister, Patti Mai Carhart.
