Ray Avon Hall, a beloved Southern Baptist minister and gifted gospel singer, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a rich legacy of faith, music, and service. For over half a century, Ray dedicated his life to sharing the message of hope and salvation, touching countless lives through his ministry and music.

Ray’s calling took him across the country, where he faithfully preached and sang the Gospel in churches and communities throughout Louisiana, Texas, Virginia, Florida, North Carolina, and North Dakota. Known for his uplifting sermons and heartfelt performances, Ray had a rare gift for inspiring others to find joy, comfort, and strength in their faith.

His passion for ministry and music was evident in every step of his journey. Whether behind the pulpit or with a microphone in hand, Ray poured his heart into every word and every note, drawing others closer to God through his sincere and compassionate spirit.

Ray is survived by his loving wife of fifty-five and a half years, Kathy, as well as cherished family members, dear friends, and the many lives he impacted over the decades. He will be remembered not only for his unwavering commitment to the church but also for his kindness, encouragement, and warmth toward everyone he met.

In addition to his pastoral work, Ray was a proud board member of 3C Sports Ministry in Dyersburg, Tennessee. There, he found great joy in supporting young athletes and witnessing their growth both in sports and in their personal relationship with God.

Ray Avon Hall’s life was a testament to the power of faith and the beauty of a servant’s heart. His voice may be stilled, but his song continues in the lives and hearts of all who knew and loved him.
