Phillip Edward Hopkins, 73, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Saturday, April 10, 2021, at his residence in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Born Saturday, March 6, 1948 in Dyersburg, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Wilbur Edward Hopkins and the late Virginia Lucille Hulme Hopkins. Mr. Hopkins was a retired employee of Ermco and proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.
Funeral services for Mr. Hopkins will be held at 1:30 P.M on Friday, April 16, 2021 at the Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery at Parker's Crossroads located at 593 Wildersville Road in Wildersville, Tennessee 38388. Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery.
Mr. Hopkins leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of fifty years, Carole Ruth Myers Hopkins of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one son, Jesse Wayne Hopkins and his wife, Alessandra of Newbern, Tennessee; two brothers, Jonathan Hopkins of Lewis, Colorado and Timothy Hopkins of Panama City, Florida; one sister, Deloris Capshaw of Dyersburg, Tennessee and he was “Grandpa” to his four grandchildren, Joshua Hopkins, Lucas Hopkins, Adriel Hopkins and Issac Hopkins.
