Peggy Janice Hughey Abercrombie Ward, 76, of Newbern, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at AHC of Dyersburg in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Sunday, September 7, 1947 in Obion County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Harmon Harold Hughey and the late Syble A. West Ward. Janice was a homemaker.

Cremation services for Ms. Ward are under the direction of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

She is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Lynn Abercrombie of Eagle, Idaho (Melissa) and Timothy W. Abercrombie of Union City, Tennessee (Tracey); two sisters, Cindy A. Bell (James) of Newbern, Tennessee and Faye Morris (Rusty)of Newbern, Tennessee and four grandchildren, Brianna Abercrombie, Taylor Abercrombie, Jessica Abercrombie and Abigail Abercrombie.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Larry W. Hughey, James Harold Hughey and Steven Michael Ward.
