Peggy D. Pinkley, 89, of Dyersburg, Tennessee, died on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Okeena Health and Rehabilitation of Dyersburg in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Born Wednesday, July 29, 1936, in Dyer County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Dee Pounders and the late Margaret Garrison Pounders.
Mrs. Pinkley was a retired dietician for Parkview Hospital, where she dedicated many years of caring service to others through her work. She enjoyed traveling and was especially fond of visiting Branson, where she made many wonderful memories. She also cherished time spent at the family cabin on Kentucky Lake—a place of peace, laughter, and love shared with family and friends. She was a faithful member of Oak Grove Church of Christ, where she found strength and community in her faith.
Cremation services for Mrs. Pinkley are under the direction of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Pinkley will be held at a later date.
She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, William Randall Pinkley (Darlene) of Dyersburg, Tennessee and she was "Grandma Peggy" to her two grandchildren, Michael Reasons and Kelly Pinkley and five great-grandchildren, Laken, Nevaeh, Myla, James and Zoey.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, George William Pinkley; one daughter, Patty Tripp and one sister, Wanda Taylor.
