Peggy Ann Newman Anderson, 77, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.
Born Sunday, April 21, 1946, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late J.B. Newman and the late Frances Lucille Sutton Newman. Mrs. Anderson was a dedicated nurse with a servant’s heart working for twenty-eight years at Parkview Hospital in Dyersburg, Tennessee. The times that she treasured most were those spent with her family that she loved dearly. She was a member of the Independent Free Holiness Church in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Funeral services for Mrs. Anderson will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 22, 2023, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Bro. Tommy Roper. Interment will follow at Holland Cemetery near Dyersburg, Tennessee. A visitation for Mrs. Anderson will be held from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM on Sunday at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Steven Anderson of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one daughter, Cindy Bethel (David) of Floresville, Texas; one brother, David Lynn Newman (Cheryl) of Titusville, Florida; seven grandchildren, Chassity LeAnn Ramsey (Jared Pujol), Anndrea Dawn Melton, Hillary Brooks Small (Brandon), Hunter Lee Anderson, Trevor Dallas Anderson, Jordan Gabrielle Bethel, Aaron Devonte Bethel; seven great grandchildren; cousins, the Richards and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty-three years, Archie Wayne Anderson; one son, Richie Wayne Anderson; one daughter, Loretta Ann Johnson and three brothers, Bobby Joe Newman, Michael Eugene Newman, and John Thomas Newman.
Honoring Mrs. Anderson as pallbearers will be David Bethel, Jaxon Reed McGuire, Jared Pujol, Chassity Ramsey, Jeff Johnson, and Stoy Anderson, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Stoy Anderson III and Jordan Anderson.
