Patti Weatherly Carhart

Patti Mai Weatherly Carhart, 69, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, formerly of Newbern, Tennessee, died on Monday, February 17, 2025, at her home in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Born Tuesday, April 5, 1955, in Dyer County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Elbert Earl Weatherly and the late Martha Jean Duncan Weatherly.

A Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Carhart will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, February 23, 2025, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

Patti treasured the times spent in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, where she made countless special memories with her family. Of all the moments she held dear, those shared with her grandchildren, who affectionately called her "Grandma," were among the most precious.

She and her husband found joy in the game of golf, not only in the sport itself but also in the friendships they built along the way. An avid gardener, she found peace and happiness in nurturing the beauty around her. Throughout her life, she formed deep and lasting friendships, many of which spanned decades, and she always held her childhood friends close to her heart.

Her kindness, warmth, and love for her family will be dearly missed, but her legacy of love and cherished memories will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of twenty-eight years, Dave Carhart of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; one son, Thomas Lepping (Tiffany) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; three step-sons, Jason Carhart of Overland Park, Kansas , Josh Carhart of Brandon, Florida and Elliott Carhart (Lindsey) of Madeira Beach, Florida; one daughter, Jeanna Scholz (Matt) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; two brothers, Ronnie Weatherly (Beverlee) of Newbern, Tennessee and Richard Weatherly of Newbern, Tennessee; one sister, Janice Pledge (Mark) of Newbern, Tennessee; special friend, Crystal Lepping of Murfreesboro; she was "Grandma"  to her eleven grandchildren and a host of extended family that loved her dearly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Mike Weatherly.
