Patsy R. Glisson, 81, of Dyersburg, Tennessee, died on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.
Born Friday, May 19, 1944, in Metropolis, Illinois , she was the daughter of the late Durward Webb and the late Ruth Emery Webb.
Patsy was known for her warm heart and deep love for her family, she especially cherished the times spent with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren making precious memories. Patsy lived a life marked by kindness, service, and faith.
A faithful member of Church Grove Baptist Church, Patsy cherished her church home and rarely missed a chance to attend. Her love for God and her church community was a cornerstone of her life.
Patsy found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She enjoyed spending her free time going to yard sales, always on the hunt for hidden treasures and good conversation. She also enjoyed caring for others through her work. Patsy was a former employee of Dyersburg Hospital, where she worked in the cafeteria, sharing smiles along with meals. She later worked at Dyersburg Intermediate School in both the cafeteria and the before- and after-school care program, where she made lasting impressions on students and staff alike.
A Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Glisson will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, July 21, 2025, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Rev. Donnie Crone.
She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Jason Glisson of Newbern, Tennessee; two daughters, Patty Hasan of Hammond, Indiana and Jo Ann "Jody" Cole (Johnny) of Dyer, Tennessee and she was Grammy, Nana and Gramma to her eleven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren (with another to join the family in November) and three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, William Thomas "Billy" Cooper, son-in-law, Mike Hasan; three brothers, Wesley Webb, Durward Webb, Jr. and Tommy Webb and one sister, Shirley Anderson.
