Patrick Dwayne Clayton Obituary

Patrick Dwayne Clayton, 51, of Newbern, Tennessee, died on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Born Sunday, October 11, 1971, in Obion County, Tennessee, he was the son of Lacy Clayton (Stepmother Shelia) of Union City, Tennessee and the late Lois Doughten Clayton.  Mr. Clayton worked in law enforcement for over ten years and was presently serving as the City of Trimble Police Chief.  He was a member of Faithway Baptist Church in Troy, Tennessee.

Graveside services for Mr. Clayton will be held at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at Mt. Carmel Cemetery near Newbern, Tennessee.  Officiating this service will be Bro. Perry Grills.  Visitation for Mr. Clayton will be held from 11:00 AM until1:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home n Newbern, Tennessee.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Pam Clements Clayton of Newbern, Tennessee;  one son, Ryker Clayton of Ridgely, Tennessee; one daughter Lacey Clayton of Pensacola, Florida: daughter by choice, Krystal Nolen of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one brother, Steve Clayton of Newbern, Tennessee; two sisters, Tyra Clayton of Humboldt, Tennessee and Lara Clayton of Union City, Tennessee; step-brother Tommy Bruff of Nashville, Tennessee; step-sister Christy Moss of Union City, Tennessee; In-Laws, who he considered as his Mom and Dad, Terry and Linda Clements of Newbern, Tennessee and eleven grandchildren, Jose Vallejo, Oakland Vallejo, Gabby Vallejo, Noah Clayton, Liberty Clayton, Catalina Hernandez, Issac Hernandez, Bentley Hallmark, Lillian Hawks, Abagail Hawks and Kaiden Martin; special nephew Kobe King, special niece, Tiffany Martin and a host of other nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

Honoring Mr. Clayton as pallbearers will be Kobe King, Tim King, Rick Isbell, Sean Sullivan, Andy Grills, and Chris Clements.  

The family ask that in lieu of flowers that contributions be made to the Patrick Dwayne Clayton Fund.
