Patricia Jane "Mimi" Simpson Obituary

Patricia Jane "Mimi" Barham Simpson, 76 of Atoka, Tennessee, died on Monday, March 24, 2025, at Millington Health Care Center in Millington, Tennessee.

Born Thursday, March 24, 1949, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late L. C. Barham and the late Mary Hazel Lee Glozier Barham.

She was a talented seamstress, known for her skill and attention to detail, creating beautiful works that brought joy to many.  Mrs. Simpsom also had a successful career as a Certified Public Accountant, working for Chris Johnson in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Her dedication and precision made her a respected professional in her field. She was a devoted member of Rehoboth Church, where she found strength in her faith and fellowship with her church family. She cherished the time spent with her loved ones, creating countless memories filled with laughter, warmth, and love.

Cremation services for Ms. Simpson are under the care of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.  A Celebration of Life Service will be announced in the coming weeks at Rehoboth. 

She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Wendy Lynn Simpson Davis (Chuck) of Atoka, Tennessee and Carrie LeeAnn Simpson McFay (Pat) of Randolph, New Jersey; one sister, Linda Sue Lemons of Newbern, Tennessee, her cousin, who she considered as a brother, Anthony "Corky" McCorkle of Marquette, Michigan; six grandchildren, Jack Simpson, Juston Davis, Jesse Wade Davis, Donovan McFay, Lochlin McFay and  Cameron McFay; five great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Clarie Davis, Jase Davis, Junior Davis, Colton Davis and Jonah Davis; one nephew, Alan Dale Lowrance (Rachel) two nieces, Lorille Jane Lemons and Andrea Agee (Stephen) and a host of extended family who loved her dearly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Dottie Lowrance and her husband Billy; brother-in-law, Bill Lemons; grandmother, Mable "Gaga" Glozier (Amos) and grandfather and grandmother, Charlie Barham and Comer Ramey Barham.

Wendy and Carrie would like to extend their most sincere thanks to Millington Healthcare and Crossroads Hospice for the loving care they gave to our Moma in her last days.
