Paris Franklin "Frank" Stanton, 76, of Newbern, Tennessee died on Friday, September 24, 2021, at his residence in Newbern, Tennessee.
Born Monday, February 26, 1945 in Crummies Creek (Harlan County),Kentucky, he was the son of the late Jess Stanton and the late Rebecca Sargent Stanton. He wasretired sheet metal mechanic for Stanley Jones Company. Mr. Stanton proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion, fan of Nascar racing, enjoyed playing the guitar and was a songwriter.
A graveside celebration of life service for Mr. Stanton will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Friends are asked to gather at the cemetery.
He is survived by three step-daughters, Jean Thompson of Union City, Tennessee, Joyce Ann Eddlemon of Kenton, Tennessee and Mary Beth Bartlett of Newbern, Tennessee and nine step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Eddlemon Stanton, one step-daughter, Stephanie Faith Eddleman, one step-grand-daughter; two sisters, Margaret L. Stanton and Ruby F. Stanton and three brothers, Marvin Stanton, Omar Stanton and Clarence E. Stanton.
